To My Readers & All Media Professionals,

Please forgive me while I must use this space and platform to exercise my 1st Amendment right, allow my embedded GONZO writing genes to once again temporarily emerge and – most importantly – helping initiate some much needed house-cleaning within the music industry. Anyone that knows me well, or for a long time, knows that I say exactly what I mean, and mean exactly what I say. I don’t shy away from speaking up, or speaking out, no matter who or what I’m up against, so long as what I’m fighting for is considered right and just by the moral majority.

Unfortunately there remains some industry predators within our ranks who are being harbored, hidden and supported by certain people and artists. For this reason I have decided to come forward with a strong and honest set of words in a recent investigative story published on SavingCountryMusic.com based on what I saw, heard and experienced during my own tenure in 2018-2019 while working for 2911 Media, and disgraced Publicist & Manager, Kirt Webster.

For the record, I am NOT claiming to be a victim here. Just someone who became uncomfortably close to someone very evil, perverted and who is a self-centered malignant narcissist. Since launching my own business in 2020, after refusing to work for or with this man, I have endured behind-the-scenes sabotage tactics that Webster and his cronies have tried to employ on certain mutual industry relationships we both have. Relationships which I built myself through my own hard work, my own dedication to doing things the right way, and my own efforts. They’ve gotten in the way, and prevented from happening, certain projects where my clients and their clients musical paths crossed. Scenarios that take place commonly in the music industry, and when they do, typically those artist’s teams work together and not against each other. In my case, my former employer tried to shut it down. Again, disgracefully.

That said, I am calling upon the entire industry to please recognize this pattern of unethical and low-standard bullshit that Webster and his affiliated cronies have imposed upon all of his former employees, myself included, for far too long. Please don’t be gutless. Please have enough integrity within yourselves to reject his tactics of sabotage – which are only rooted in self-interest- and allow the artistry or story to prevail and be heard.

AND, the time has now come for all the other REAL victims, the established and aspiring artists, and other former employees, who are only chasing or sustaining their own life’s dream, to come out and let go of the fear which these industry predators and professional saboteurs have bestowed upon you for decades. Your stories and experiences need to be heard. I encourage you all to also speak up to the media, your friends, colleagues, and if you feel you are a victim of a real crime, your local Police Department and/or District Attorney’s office. Let all of these people do the jobs that God & society has bestowed upon them.

Nobody, either artists or business professionals, should have to endure or be victimized by these kinds of people while in the pursuit of their dreams or for creating their art. The notion and history of tolerance and silence on this subject or about the perpetrators is completely UN-AMERICAN, ANTI-CHRISTIAN and ENABLES EVIL TO PREVAIL. Tolerating, hiding or being complicit with people who employ these kinds of predatory behaviors, tactics and mind control – on any level – invalidates ALL of our AMERICAN rights to the pursuit of happiness and a civilized society. Everyone in the music industry, the media and elsewhere must raise their standards RIGHT NOW, and STOP these types of predators dead in their tracks.

Like the many other great & rebellious spirits from my home state of Kentucky who’ve came before me, we stand our ground, we fight for and say what needs to be said, and are unafraid of the consequences, if there really are any to begin with.

Enough.

My statements to Saving Country Music reads as follows…

One former employee of 2911 Media, Jason Ashcraft, also confirms this shadowy relationship between Kirt Webster, publicist Jeremy Westby, and 2911 Media.

“I was the first employee hired into 2911 Media in January 2018 right after Webster PR shut down from a multitude of legitimate sexual abuse and sabotage allegations that were brought against Kirt Webster,” Ashcraft tells Saving Country Music. “Both before and after I was hired, I was assured by Jeremy Westby that Kirt Webster had absolutely no involvement whatsoever in the company. I accepted the job on that premise, and like so many others, I inevitably learned that was all a big lie.”

As Jason Ashcraft’s employment at 2911 continued, Kirt’s role was revealed. “Webster was behind everything. The computer equipment I was provided, the blood money that Westby accepted from Webster paid my meager salary, and the mind-control that Webster still has over Jeremy Westby to this day. It just made me sick to learn all of this. In December of 2019, in my letter of resignation to Jeremy Westby, I specifically cited Kirt Webster’s bullshit as one of two reasons for my resignation.”

Jason Ashcraft is one of the few people who is willing to use his own name while speaking about Kirt Webster because of the intimidation Webster continues to use behind-the-scenes in the country music industry.

“I am damn sure not going to participate in this established culture of silence and fear about sexual rapists and industry predators that has been going on in Nashville before I marched into this town in 2018,” says Ashcraft. “If that means that I sacrifice my career in the country music industry in the process of pursuing what is right, then so be it. This will be one hell of a way to go back to being just a fan of music again…

“However… I would like to think that all of the real country music artists, and industry professionals in Nashville actually believe in the values, morals and life principles that real country music often seeks to instill in its listener. Please tell me that actions still speak louder than words in Nashville. I call upon the artists, the entertainment buyers, the tastemakers, those in the media, and the entire country music industry and family to hold Kirt Webster accountable for his actions, including the multitude of legitimate allegations which have been brought against him, for which all he’s done is run, hide and evade from. Let go of your fear. It is time for the truth to be known. It is time that industry predators like Harvey Weinstein, R. Kelly and allegedly—Kirt Webster—to be stopped dead in their tracks.”

One of the reasons Jason Ashcraft and others are speaking out is due to the fear that more individuals will be victimized by Kirt Webster in the future…

Statements submitted by other industry professionals:

“Webster is a predator, aggressor, sexually inappropriate, violent, with an alleged history of numerous abuses (numbering in the teens) that could be potentially considered felonious and extremely violent. The most important factor we need to consider within the Country Music and Nashville community is why we continue to work/engage with him and his proxies, allow them to attend industry events, be members of our associations, or even tolerate/accept their involvement within our industry. We shouldn’t turn a blind eye…WE ARE AND SHOULD BE BETTER THAN THAT!!! This perceived notion that he still has power, in my opinion is not factual. By vocalizing it we feed into his inflated ego and give him this perceived power both internally and externally. Let me say he has NO POWER especially if we don’t feed into his and associates narratives. Intimidation is not power, it is actually weakness. Webster needs to be held accountable and so does our industry if we continue to allow him to have a voice and access to young talent who simply want to contribute to our industry. We have the power to make change and more importantly, a safe place for our colleagues.”
— Marcel Pariseau, True Public Relations

“As a former employee of Kirt Webster and a member of the music and PR communities, I feel it necessary to speak out against the re-embrace of a man who has committed atrocities towards so many people. As the saying goes, where there’s smoke, there is fire, and the ‘smoke’ that I and many colleagues have personally witnessed through the years are things that, alone, no one should be permitted to continue.

Mr. Webster has never publicly or privately atoned for any of his wrongdoings, to my knowledge, and it is on all members of an industry / community such as ours to prevent abusers from repeating their prior misdeeds in the future. According to my own and shared experiences over the past several years, Mr. Webster has not changed and continues to bully, whether directly or through anonymous methods.

I encourage others to voice their dissent and commit publicly to not work with, nor enable, people like Mr. Webster so that we can ensure a healthy and productive environment for all. Recent events have made this action even more necessary and relevant. I am fully aware of the negative repercussions I am opening myself up to with this statement, even anonymously, but there is strength in numbers and I am praying I won’t be on an island alone through the storm to follow. I call on media outlets to shine light on the situation, music industry companies to commit to not working with predators and an overall change in the culture of abuse and corruption in the music industry.”

But why in the hell would any decent human being want to be in a photo with this man,
let alone employ him?
I’m still waiting for a good answer to that question…

Can anyone help me understand why so many criminals are being invited into the White House these days?
