Carter’s musical journey and life profiled by WSMV-TV in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 18, 2023) – Country singer-songwriter and U.S. Army veteran Brei Carter has signed with Nashville based Brown Lee Entertainment for exclusive global music distribution through The Orchard, and digital marketing services. BLE is headed and founded by former RED Music/Sony Music Entertainment Executive Dewayne Brown, along with his team of Nancy Lee, Michael “Benjy” Cruz, and Pepper Meiler

“When we set out to start BLE, we collectively had our hearts set on finding that right female country artist with an amazing voice and an uncanny writing ability that will cross various genre formats,” said Brown. “Two years later we found Brei Carter and we are so proud of her body of work that we couldn’t say no. We are so happy that she chose BLE to call her home.”

Carter’s first full length album, the critically acclaimed Brand New Country originally released independently on September 16, 2022. The eclectic album explores Carter’s country, soul and R&B musical roots, and is set to be re-released via Brown Lee Entertainment and The Orchard.

“It’s amazing how God aligns you with the right people at the right time,” Carter said. “I am so blessed and fortunate to now be a part of the BLE family. Greatness can never be achieved by one alone, it is the people, the team, the village that takes the person there.”

About Brei Carter:
Emerging crossover country and southern pop recording artist Brei Carter is proof that sometimes faith, patience and time pays off. Growing up in Monroe, Louisiana with a solid, southern upbringing, Brei’s family raised her on several authentic southern staples: the Bible, Lone Star Missionary Baptist Church’s choir, Charley Pride, Loretta Lynn, Aretha Franklin, and no shortage of familial love and devotion. However, before she became the dynamic and vivacious country singer she is today, Brei was busy earning a Bachelors in Business from University of Louisiana in Monroe, a Masters in International Relations from Webster University, and a Doctorate in Theology from New Foundation Theological Seminary. She is also a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army, where she served as an enlisted soldier and as an officer. Having moved to Nashville soon thereafter, Brei has quickly established herself in the songwriters community as a smooth and sometimes edgy songstress who melds country, soul and southern pop into one fused style. Her first single at country radio “Gave Him A Girl” was immediately recognized as “cute and catchy” by country music journalist and historian Robert K. Oermann in his weekly DISClaimer review column for Music Row Magazine, where it eventually charted up to #71. With a growing catalog of new music, including her debut album Brand New Country, which was released in Fall 2022, this young singer-songwriter is a welcome addition to the emerging new styles of the country music community.

About Brown Lee Entertainment:
Brown Lee Entertainment is an non-specific genre entertainment company that focuses on artist development, digital marketing, digital distribution, and artist management. We all know that this industry is not a cookie-cutting, one shoe fits all business model for today’s talented artists and songwriters. Everything must be tailored around their specific needs and art. BLE focuses and target each artist to maximize all of their social media, website design, and music awareness for greater exposure.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (November 10, 2022) Country, southern pop singer-songwriter and U.S. Army veteran Brei Carter released her debut album Brand New Country in September across all digital music platforms, and at linktr.ee/breicarter. Carter’s poignant new music video for the album’s current single, the empowering “Stronger Than That” will exclusively premiere on AIM Country Music TV on Nov. 17, and then roll out on her YouTube channel on Nov. 18, along with upcoming network TV support on The Country Network and at CMT.com beginning on Nov. 25. As Brei’s songs are typically known for, the song carries a message that is as timely as powerful, and another page from her life’s musical story book. The song was produced by Jason Wyatt and co-written by Wayne Burton.

“When Wayne and I wrote that song, I wanted to tell my story of what I went through growing up, how I felt,” Brei explained. “I wanted to share with the world that no matter what obstacles they were dealing with or going through, that they could make it. Stronger than that is a reminder that you’re tougher than you think and to believe in yourself regardless of what others think or say.”

The music video is equally powerful as it reveals another layer about Brei’s personal life, while also showing her balance of outer beauty and inner strength. Carter filmed the video in a remote location in southern Kentucky, working with film producer and director Karl Weidmann, and Josh Mendez of Southern Cabin Films.

“I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me,” Carter said, emphasizing one of her favorite Bible verses, Philippians 4:13. “I am so grateful and thankful and I know that the best is still yet to come. Some days and times have been difficult and there have been ups and down, but God has kept me for this. Thank you, Lord! My hope is this song helps others find the fighter inside themselves, and to believe in their visions, dreams and realize that they too are stronger than they may think.”

Country Singer-Songwriter Brei Carter Uplifts On Soulful Country Heartbreak Tune “Paybacks,” Available NOW!

“…feisty and fierce on this kiss-off power ballad.”
– Robert K. Oermann, Music Row Magazine

“…a somewhat sassy look at the idea of karma, it’s also a song of power, with potent lyrics that encourage listeners to find the strength to take hold of their life once again.”
– Tricia Despres, St. Louis Magazine

“Paybacks” lyric video exclusively premiered by St. Louis Magazine

“Paybacks” available everywhere digitally NOW at linktr.ee/breicarter;
and to country radio programmers via PlayMPE

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 11, 2022) – Country and southern pop singer-songwriter Brei Carter has released her 10th single “Paybacks” across all major digital music platforms, or at linktr.ee/breicarter. The song is also available to radio programmers and industry via PlayMPE

Today, the song’s new lyric video exclusively premiered by St. Louis Magazine, where she also chatted with renowned country music journalist Tricia Despres about her blossoming music career in Nashville, and her current home just outside of St. Louis.

The mid-tempo soulful country tune finds the Louisiana native and ambitious songstress doing what she does best; charming with her uplifting voice, authentic personality, and clever use of lyrics to tell stories. Even on a song which deals with the leftover feelings, emotions and memories from a relationship gone wrong, her listener is uplifted and left with a feeling that better days are ahead.

Working with Nashville based songwriters Jason Campbell and Terry Smith on the song, Carter felt the song resonated with her because when they sat down to write it, she wanted to write a song with a little more soul to it.

“I wanted to tell a story which friends have shared with me, personally,” Carter explains. “People talk about Karma and it’s a real thing. Growing up I’ve always been taught to treat people how I wanted to be treated. The basis of the song talks about reaping what you’ve sown, so treat people right! Unfortunately you never know what your payback could be. Remember vengeance doesn’t belong to the person wronged, but belongs to God.”

With a growing catalog of new music she’ll release throughout 2022, including a debut EP/album, this young singer-songwriter is a welcome addition to the emerging new styles of the country music community.

First song to country radio “Gave Him a Girl” debuts on Music Row’s Country Breakout Chart

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 1, 2022) – To acknowledge the start of Black History Month, country and southern pop singer-songwriter Brei Carter will release a new music video on February 1 for her heartfelt tribute to country music legend Charley Pride, with a fresh take on his #1 signature hit, “Kiss An Angel Good Mornin.’”

The video made its exclusive digital premiere on Feb. 1 by Nashville’s Center Stage Magazine, followed by its network TV premiere on The Country Network Wednesday, February 2 at 12:13p & 6:50p ET, with encore airings throughout the week. For a complete list of where and how to watch TCN, download the app to your mobile device or visit tcncountry.net/where-to-watch.htm.

Like so many other African American musicians, singer-songwriters and recording artists, Brei’s long-standing admiration and respect for Charley Pride’s music legacy goes back as far as she can remember. Her father used to sing the song to her as a lullaby when she was a very young child, so it became one of the first songs she remembered the lyrics of. Brei’s own musical interpretation on the certified #1 classic country hit is fresh, upbeat and respectful to the song’s original composure.

“I honestly don’t know where to begin when it comes for my profound respect and admiration for Mr. Charley Pride,” Brei said. “His songs were some of my first memories of music as a young child, so when I decided I was going to take my shot as a Nashville-based country music artist, I just knew I had to record his signature song.”
