SAN ANTONIO, Tex. (September 20, 2022) — Memories of Honor is a registered national non-profit 501(c)(3) whose mission is to make every day Memorial Day. Memories of Honor (MOH), is excited to announce their inaugural Military City Miles & Memories (MCMM) honorary bike ride taking place on Saturday, October 22 in San Antonio, Texas’ beautiful Mission County Park. To accommodate all levels of cyclists, the memorial ride is offered in three different distances: 22 mile, 46 mile, and 62 mile courses. Each mile is dedicated in honor and memory of a fallen veteran, and every participant rides in honor and memory of a fallen service member. Each participant will carry one of our Fallen Hero Memorial bibs with the name of a fallen on it. Each participant will also receive a commemorative challenge coin & t-shirt. 

Like other Memories of Honor sponsored events, MCMM is one great way for the general public to show appreciation and support for our military Veterans and Gold Star Families who have made the ultimate sacrifice. MOH works in partnership with other veteran’s service organizations and nonprofits to accomplish their mission, and is currently offering FREE exhibit space to those types of organizations at MCMM in the Rotunda Pavilion during the event. Veterans service organizations already scheduled to be present include: Gold Star Family Retreat, Warriors Heart, Pedal Guerrero, Muddee Waters: Scars & Stripes Coffee, Travis Manion Foundation, Sheep Dog Impact Assistance, Endeavors Veteran Wellness Center, and Earn-a-Bike. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 21, 2022) – Tennessee-based national non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, Memories of Honor, is excited to announce their inaugural Music City Miles & Memories event taking place on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 7:30am – 8:45am during the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix. In partnership with Black Rifle Coffee Company (BRCC), Memories of Honor’s next patriotic military tribute athletic race event to support MOH’s mission of making every day a Memorial Day, is set to be a one-of-a-kind on-track experience for all racers to bike, walk, or military ruck the Music City Grand Prix racetrack in downtown Nashville. As part of the partnership, BRCC will be providing complimentary coffee for race participants, along with sponsoring a number of registration fees for military veterans to run and participate in Music City Miles & Memories. 

“We are beyond excited to team up with the Big Machine Music City GrandPrix to offer this one-of-a-kind experience to honor our fallen military and their families,” said Amy Cotta, Founder & Executive Director of Memories of Honor. “We are also honored to have veteran-founded, Black Rifle Coffee Company join our efforts in this community outreach event.”

EVENT DETAILS

  • DATE: August 6th, 2022
  • TIME:  7:30 AM – 8:45 AM 
  • LOCATION: Music City Grand Prix Racecourse –1st Ave South, Downtown Nashville
  • PACE: You will have up to 55 minutes to complete the two-mile course. All foot traffic must be off the racecourse by 9 AM sharp! 
  • NO PETS are allowed on the course. 
  • SUPPORTING: Funds raised support Memories of Honor

EVENT DAY SCHEDULE 

  • Packet pickup: 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM
  • Race Day Registration 7:00 – 7:30 AM 
  • On-Track Ride / Walk / Ruck from 7:30 AM – 8:45 AM
  • Everyone must be off the track by 9:00 AM 

REGISTRATION INCLUDES 

  • Racetrack Street Access (without cars): You can walk, bike, military ruck. Strollers welcome. 
  • General Admission Ticket: to Saturday’s Music City Grand Prix event, which includes: all-day access to the festival grounds, fan zone, racing activities, and music performances
  • Commemorative Event T-shirt
  • A Fallen Hero Memorial Bib: Marathon-style bib containing the rank, name, branch, and date of passing of one of our Nation’s fallen heroes.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 17, 2022) – Memories of Honor, a 501c3 nonprofit based in Nashville is gearing up for the 7th annual Honor the Fallen 5K, set for this Saturday, May 21 at The Grove in College Grove, Tennessee.

More than “just another” 5K, the HTF5K is a family-friendly, pet-friendly community event where friends of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities join in unity to show their love and support to our families of our Nation’s fallen heroes. And also to pay their respects to our military members and first responders, both past and present.

“We believe our fallen service members and their families deserve to be honored and remembered not just on Memorial Day, but every day,” said Amy Cotta, founder of Memories of Honor. “Our mission is to make every day Memorial Day by creating living, breathing memorials so no life loss as a result of serving our country goes forgotten.”

In addition to the 5K race, the food and the fun, HTF5K will also feature a very special all-veteran songwriters round with three Nashville-based up-and-coming singer-songwriters and recording artists. Country recording artist & Marine veteran Adam Warner, country singer-songwriter & Army veteran Brei Carter, and country singer-songwriter & combat Army veteran Mark Addison Chandler will join onstage post-race to share their stories in song and conversation.

(April 20, 2022)Memories of Honor, a 501c3 nonprofit based in Nashville has announced the addition of a songwriters round performance event to their upcoming 7th annual Honor the Fallen 5K, set for Saturday, May 21 at The Grove in College Grove, Tennessee. The round will feature several up-and-coming veteran artists based in Nashville, including country recording artist & Marine veteran Adam Warner, country singer-songwriter & Army veteran Brei Carter, and country singer-songwriter & combat Army veteran Mark Addison Chandler. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 21, 2022)Memories of Honor, a 501c3 nonprofit based in Nashville has announced two upcoming 5K events which will pay tribute to the sacrifices made by our fallen military service members and their families.

“We believe our fallen service members and their families deserve to be honored and remembered not just on Memorial Day, but every day,” said Amy Cotta, founder of Memories of Honor. “Our mission is to make every day Memorial Day by creating living, breathing memorials so no life loss as a result of serving our country goes forgotten.”

On April 2 at 9:00a CT, the Tour De Hawkins 5K will take place at Vanderbilt University as a part of the VandyBoys’ Military Appreciation Weekend when they take on in-state rival University of Tennessee. 

Lace up your tennis shoes and get ready to take a trip around Hawkins Field along with other Vanderbilt Athletics venues for this first-ever event. It will be an awesome way for anyone in the community to show their patriotism and support for those who have or continue to serve our country. It will also give an opportunity to run through several of the athletic facilities on Vanderbilt University’s campus, providing a 5K experience like none other. Facilities in the course include Hawkins Field, Vanderbilt Stadium, Outdoor Track & Field Complex, Soccer & Lacrosse Complex.
